Summary This position is located in the U.S. Department of the Treasury; Departmental Offices (DO); Office of the Deputy Secretary, Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (ODEIA), Office Civil Rights and Equal Employment Opportunity (OCRE). Must successfully complete a background investigation. Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required. All new hires will be required to comply with federal ethics laws. Please refer to the "Additional Information" section for additional Conditions of Employment. Qualifications You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Specialized Experience: You must have 1 year of Specialized Experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience applying civil rights and equal opportunity regulations such as Title VI of the Civil Rights of 1964, the Fair Housing Act (also known as Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968), Section 504 of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act, Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination Act or other civil rights laws and regulations; AND Experience advising management concerning major aspects of civil rights inquiries/investigations in which you interpreted, explained and applied knowledge of external civil rights and Equal Opportunity laws, regulations, and administrative decisions to negotiate and resolve unprecedented problems; AND Experience utilizing fact finding, analytical, problem solving, investigative, and interviewing methods and techniques; AND Experience organizing and presenting facts, findings, conclusions, and recommendations in a logical manner. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
