Description

The Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting Lead analyzes and forecasts financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions. Establishes metrics, provides data analyses, and works directly to support business intelligence. Evaluates industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's short, medium and long-term financial and competitive position. The Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

Responsibilities

Location: Louisville, KY is preferred with a combination of remote and in office OR fully Remote

The Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting Lead ensures data integrity by developing and executing necessary processes and controls around the flow of data. Collaborates with stakeholders to understand business needs/issues, troubleshoots problems, conducts root cause analysis, model the impact of interventions, and develops cost effective resolutions for strategic priorities. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

• Develop models that determine the impact of various value based contracts between CWHH and Humana
• Develop methodology for evaluating value based performance
• Influence strategy of value based contracting including who we contract with, how the contracts are set up, and what methodologies are used for value based payments
• Monitor value based performance and provide updates to stakeholders
• Research areas of opportunities for value based HH providers to improve their performance

Role Essentials

• Bachelor's Degree
• 7 or more years of actuarial experience
• FSA or ASA
• MAAA
• Experience in modeling and/or reporting & analysis or trending & forecasting
• Proficiency with SAS & SQL
• Strong communication skills
• Team player and customer focused mindset

Role Desirables

• Experience in more than two functions (e.g., modeling, pricing, rate filing, reporting & analysis, reserving or trending)
• Value based contracting experience
• Experience with home health
