This role describes the type of work where the employee would apply specialized skills, experience, and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision. The employee may serve as lead, establishing procedures in functional area and the projects may be focused or broad in nature. The employee would apply recognized skill in a specialized role that may not require a college degree.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain changeover timelines: Create detailed project schedules covering all aspects of critical changeovers (maintenance, testing, cleaning, start-up activities). Update and monitor timelines daily, addressing barriers and resolving issues.

  • Organize and manage cross-functional teams: Lead teams across engineering, operations, maintenance, and quality to drive accelerated changeovers. Schedule and lead daily meetings to prioritize tasks, identify critical paths, and resolve conflicts.

  • Drive continuous improvement and lead special projects: Lead efforts to improve changeover efficiency using tools like SMED, Six Sigma, and Lean. Ensure consistent, flawless changeover execution.

  • Track and report changeover metrics: Monitor changeover performance (cost, schedule, resource use) and report progress. Present key metrics and results to management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred) and 10+ years of project execution and plant experience.

  • Project Management Certification (preferred).

  • Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills (MS Office, SAP).

  • Ability to influence teams without direct supervisory authority.

  • Capable of managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.

  • Proven tactical leadership and the ability to drive group objectives.

  • Supervisory experience (coaching and performance improvement) is a plus.

  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes.

  • Skilled in motivating and mentoring others in a manufacturing environment.

  • Expertise in analyzing data, improving processes, and implementing solutions.

  • Clear and effective communication across all organizational levels.

  • Flexibility in hours to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

  • Occasional travel required.
