Job Description

The WM Data Management Services Lead would be responsible for ongoing management and maintenance of our service offerings, including working with Account Managers to help develop and execute consulting engagements with clients.

The role would also have expectations of working directly with clients in a ‘billable consultant’ capacity and leadership role in client engagement execution. However, there would be simultaneous expectation for allocation of time to be spent in building, operating, and refining existing service offerings.

While this will be a leadership role at Norima, there are no direct report assignments to this leader at this time and the leadership of the service offering will be dotted line (data management expert resources report to ‘resource managers’ for engineers, analysists, and project managers). Reporting lines may change in the future depending on the growth and success of the service offering.

The desired candidate should have:

• Extensive background in Broker Dealer, Custodian, and other “Wealth Management” data processing
• Experience with enterprise data architecture, strategic planning, and hands-on implementation management of initiatives¬¬ in broker dealer firms, with further experience with conversions, mergers, data architecture & storage, industry data governance & operations, and data analytics & monetization

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the strategic planning and operating principals
• Develop and operationalize materials (e.g. frameworks, sales materials, training) for the service.
• Partner with all Account Mangers, Resources Managers and Domain Experts to ensure service delivery is aligned and consistent with service principals and customer needs.
• Serve as execution leader or senior advisor across various client engagements leveraging the data management service.
• Works individually and collectively with clients and colleagues to coordinate the execution of service delivery, essentially managing a portfolio of initiatives across multiple clients.
• Support Project Delivery, review and provide solution designs.
• Provide technology guidance and leadership to clients/stakeholders.
• Stay up to date and engaged in relevant developments and technology related to Data Management Architecture and Operations, Data Sciences, Industry Regulatory data handling requirements, and Industry data changes and developments.
• Stay up to date with developments and technology in the Mobile, Cloud, AI and other segments of the industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field or equivalent experience
• 10 years of experience in data integration architecture and logical data modeling in a Broker Dealer or related enterprise environment
• Proficiency in Wealth Management logical data model design and relational data modeling
• Expertise in data integration technologies such as ETL, API, and data warehousing
• Experience with industry custodians, aggregators, market data providers, TAMP and other trade partner integrations.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, privacy, and security best practices
• Ability to develop and maintain data integration processes and procedures
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast moving Agile environment

Desired Skills:

• Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related field
• Experience with cloud-based data integration solutions
• Knowledge of data operation and data mining techniques
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark
• Familiarity with the data vendor landscape for other data technologies (data scanning, data flows, replication, analytics capabilities, etc.)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High-energy, passionate, and positive outlook with strong sense of ownership
• Relevant wealth management industry experience
