Key Responsibilities

• Jira Configuration and Customization:
• Customize Jira projects, workflows, screens, and fields to meet dynamic business requirements.
• Ensure that configurations align with best practices and maintain system performance.
• Custom Plugin and Script Development:
• Develop, test, and maintain custom plugins and scripts using SIL Programming , TEMPO, and Groovy scripting.
• Create solutions that meet specific business needs, are scalable, and maintainable.
• Automation Implementation:
• Leverage Automation for Jira to reduce manual tasks, improve efficiency, and support complex workflow automations.
• Design and implement triggers, conditions, and actions that align with business process needs.
• System Integration:
• Integrate Jira with other systems using REST APIs and webhooks, creating a seamless flow of data and enhanced cross-platform functionality.
• Ensure that integrations are secure, reliable, and regularly maintained.
• SQL Database Management:
• Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate Jira data within PostgreSQL, supporting reporting and data analysis needs.
• Version Control and Code Management:
• Use GitLab for version control, ensuring organized and maintainable code for all customizations and scripts.
• Troubleshooting and Optimization:
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to Jira configurations and performance, ensuring a high-performing and stable system.
• Regularly monitor for potential issues and proactively address them to prevent disruptions.
• Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:
• Work closely with project managers, business analysts, and IT teams to understand requirements and provide tailored Jira solutions.
• Documentation and Best Practices:
• Maintain detailed documentation for all configurations, customizations, and integrations, supporting transparency and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure best practices are followed in all customization and scripting efforts.
• Migration Support:
• Assist with Jira Data Center to Cloud migrations, addressing compatibility challenges, and ensuring a seamless transition for end-users.
• Test Automation with TOSCA:
• Implement test automation using TOSCA to ensure new workflows and customizations are validated and perform as expected.
