About the role:
Our DevOps Engineers engage across development, product and operational teams to ensure Droit’s enterprise software products are successfully built, tested and supported in production. Successful candidates will demonstrate skills in build engineering, site reliability engineering, and client support. At Droit, DevOps is involved in the full lifecycle of product development, from inception to deployment, optimization, and daily operation. You will implement solutions that increase the velocity of product delivery, while identifying and resolving problems before they become production issues.

As part of the technical infrastructure team, you will have direct interaction with internal and external clients. You will be expected to systematically troubleshoot and resolve issues and address incoming client inquiry.

What you will do:

• Join development teams to accelerate their DevOps experience and reduce operational overhead.
• Work closely with product and development teams to help architect solutions.
• Tackle problems which may require you to research various technologies, and socialize your findings with the team.
• Build and refine our infrastructure through Terraform.
• Participate in daily stand ups, communicate through slack, ad-hoc calls, and Jira tickets.
• Educate functions on the usage of our platform, and advocate for best practices.
• Join internal teams on client integration calls to answer product and cloud platform questions.
• Respond to incidents and act as an escalation point for cloud incidents.

What we are looking for: 

• Ability to work collaboratively across functional and global teams and guide decision making, and to identify bottlenecks and recommend practical solutions.

• Ability to accurately prioritize and execute against multiple deliverables.
• Experience working with and managing clients and external partners.
  

Technical skills:

• Experience designing, building and administering scalable cloud-based architectures,
• both for internal and client-facing software deployments. AWS experience is strongly
• preferred.
• Deep knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with automation tools such as GitHub Actions.
• Comfortable with using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform.
• Experience with metric and log visualization tools and platforms such as Datadog.
• Demonstrated knowledge of network fundamentals.
• Experience securing application, network and machine infrastructure to enterprise
• standards.
• Experience with Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery.
• Experience writing technical documentation.
• Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language (e.g. Java, Clojure) and/or a scripting language (e.g. Bash).
• Previous DevOps experience at a SaaS company.

NYC salary information:
We estimate that the base salary for this NYC-based role will be $160,000 - $190,000, plus equity, inclusion in Droit's discretionary bonus program, and benefits. Individual salaries are determined by factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education.
