About FreenomeĀ 

Freenome is a high-growth biotech company on a mission since 2014 to create tools that empower everyone to prevent, detect, and treat their disease.

To achieve this mission, Freenome is developing next-generation blood tests to detect cancer in its earliest, most treatable stages using our multiomics platform and machine learning techniques. Our first blood test will detect early-stage colorectal cancer and advanced adenomas.

About the Role

The Director of facilities is responsible for the site services and facilities demands for our growing organization.Ā  This is a dynamic role, leading, building, and growing our facilities, office support, and EHS teams.Ā  This individual will lead initiatives to improve our site's services, maintain compliance for our clinical laboratories, and oversee the construction of our HeadQuarters in the Bay Area. Work cross functionally to create inspiring spaces and innovative services that bring Freenome’s culture and values to life.Ā  Build and maintain all aspects of what keeps our workspaces operating efficiently and compliantly.Ā  .Ā Ā Ā 

Your contribution:

  • Create a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment supporting our laboratories and offices
  • Lead facilities functions, implementing policies and safety procedures
  • Manage vendors and contractors for ongoing site improvements, site services, and negotiating lease agreements
  • Prepare facilities budgets and monitoring expenditures
  • Design and planning workstations, coordinating remodeling and refurbishment initiatives
  • Ensure site and facility compliance with local, state and federal regulations
  • Lead relocation activities
  • Collaborate with Property Management Team for the purpose of implementing and maintaining services and maintenance programs;
  • Lead programing and project for new building projects, construction, and improvements
  • Plan, schedule, and manage facilities service and maintenance contractors and personnel, including setting the standard for site service levels
  • Create the strategy to support dynamic growth of company, programs, and product
  • Hire, build, and lead the facilities team to ensure high service levels
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leaders
  • Work within dynamic, high growth environment
  • Provide leadership and direction in all aspects of administering a facilities management department including strategic planning and customer focused programs.

Your background, perspective and experience:Ā 

  • 10+ years of experience in facilities management and operations
  • 5+ years of direct leadership of teams
  • CLIA/CAP, ISO, or GMP experience preferred.Ā Ā 
  • Degree in facility or property management or comparable experience
  • Flexibility to adjust to new tasks should company or office needs changeĀ
