The Director of Part D Strategy Advancement provides data-based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities related to Part D for Medicare Advantage. They provide Part D business intelligence and strategic planning support for business segments and the company at large.

The Director of Part D Strategy Advancement requires an in-depth understanding of how organizational capabilities interrelate across the company.

The Director of Part D Strategy Advancement leads initiatives to analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to enhance the Part D experience for Humana's Medicare Advantage business. They bring Part D expertise or identify subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret, and produce recommendations and strategies based on company and external data analysis. They ensure that policies and procedures align with corporate vision.

The Director of Part D Strategy Advancement will be responsible for bringing business partners together to make decisions related to new/updated Part D programs or enterprise-wide projects that impact multiple lines of business. They serve as a strategic partner to business leaders in both Humana's Insurance and Pharmacy businesses and will be responsible for generating and driving strategic plans, goals and objectives. They apply foundational business principles to assess and co-create the roadmap for helping drive individuals to Humana's Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD) plans by enhancing the Part D consumer experience.

  • Transform in-depth analysis of prescription drug data into strategic, sustainable growth initiatives that support improved customer outcomes and experiences
  • Partner with Clinical and Corporate Affairs teams to enhance and develop innovative programs to improve customer health through integrated medical and pharmacy benefits
  • Cultivate and support strategic partnerships between Humana's Part D Insurance business and Humana's Pharmacy to optimize enterprise value
  • Enhance and drive the strategy to increase cross-sell opportunities for MAPD

Who You'll Be Working With:

This role reports to the Associate Vice President of Strategy Advancement

Works closely with the Insurance Actuarial and Product team, Enterprise Growth team and the CenterWell Pharmacy team, which include Actuaries, Data Scientists and Pharmacists

Currently this position is an individual contributor.

Role Essentials

  • Master's degree with 8 years or more of equivalent experience or Bachelors degree with 10 years or more of experience
  • Prior healthcare experience with exposure to Medicare Part D
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage strategy engagements from conception to final deliverables
  • Highly collaborative, flexible, team oriented working style
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to perform complex qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly build and maintain trust with senior business leaders
  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity

Role Desirables

  • 3-5 years or more prior experience at a consulting firm in a position as Manager, Project lead, Engagement Manager
  • MBA, MA/MS, PhD, or graduate degree in a management field
  • Consulting experience at a top tier firm such as Accenture, BCG, Bain, Deloitte or McKinsey

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$164,700 - $226,600 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
