This includes assisting with the development, implementation, and monitoring of governance and risk management exceptions to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Essential Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure exception management process is followed
- Provide training and guidance to employees on exception management compliance
- Review and analyze compliance reports and data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards and their impact on new and existing exceptions
- Prepare reports for management on exception compliance for risk register, policy and controls
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a STEM related field
- 3+ years' experience in Information Technology governance and compliance
- 3+ years' experience in Cyber Security
Desired Characteristics
- Vernova segments/business experience is highly desired
- Experience with regulatory bodies such as SOX and CMMC
- Experience writing and maintaining SOPs and training documentation
- Comfortable leading decision making discussions that lead to consensus agreement
- IT cybersecurity and/or risk management certifications
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - communicates in a clear and succinct manner, anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment with limited direction
- Change oriented - actively defines process improvements, champions and drive change initiatives, confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities and executes accordingly
