About The Role

As a Manager of Sales Development, you will lead our exceptional high agency team to achieve ambitious objectives to drive overwhelming demand for our data activation platform, develop the future leaders of our company, and grow our brand recognition in the market.

How you’ll spend your time

Within one month:

  • You will start building a trusting relationship with your direct reports and peers.
  • You will contribute to making decisions on how our sales development team goes to market and expands our footprint via a scaled outbound motion
  • You will build a better understanding of our values and how that would map to expectations for your team’s success
  • Your peers in sales and marketing are enthusiastic to work with you because you reliably follow-through with your commitments.
  • You will complete all product and sales certifications

Within three months:

  • You will have improved planning, communication, hiring, and onboarding processes to help the team scale as we grow.
  • You will instill the operational rigor and measurement to drive the right level of prospective activities in a given day and week
  • You will establish a process to enable your team as well as Account executives on best practices for cracking into accounts
  • You will celebrate the fact that your org has delivered key results in support of their objectives for the year.
    • Qualified Opportunities pipeline supports our goal of 3x pipeline coverage
    • Deliver the best-possible customer experience by contacting leads within 5 minutes of submitting requests
    • Establishing our sales development career path

Within six months:

  • You will have hired and retained exceptional people.
  • You will collaborate with marketing and sales leadership to develop the next set of ambitious goals that your org should work towards.
  • You will be helping shape new go-to-market strategies to engage new segments and regions of customers
  • You will become a subject matter expert on all things modern data stack and customer data platforms
About You

You are an experienced and visionary people-driven sales leader who has the skills to effectively drive progress toward our sales organization’s ambitious and challenging objectives. You are strongly aligned with our values and bring a high sense of ownership to your work at Hightouch.

Qualifications:

  • You have 2+ years of experience leading a sales development function in B2B SaaS focused on sourcing outbound opportunities.
  • You’re highly analytical and love digging through data to assess team + business performance
  • You have a passion for hiring and developing people early in their careers
  • You have supported sales teams that focus on working with both enterprise and high growth venture-backed companies
  • You're just as comfortable hopping on a cold call as you’re inspecting messaging quality and call recordings
  • You embody and celebrate a culture of writing

Nice to haves:

  • Experience using tools such as Outreach, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator etc
  • Experience at product-led growth (PLG) SaaS companies
  • Previous closing experience (AE, inside sales, etc.)
