Job Summary
The HR Director plays a key role in enabling the organization to deliver on its promises by providing strategic HR expertise to the business. This includes partnering with business leaders to shape the talent, workforce, and business strategies necessary to drive successful outcomes. This position will be aligned with our Employee Benefits division and the Enterprise Marketing team.

This position could be based in either Portland, ME, or Indianapolis, IN.
Salary Band: 07B
As a condition of employment, OneAmerica requires that all new hires who receive a job offer on or after April 18, 2022 provide evidence of full or partial vaccination against COVID-19 within three days of accepting an offer letter with OneAmerica and before employment begins. Primary Responsibilities:
- Anticipate business needs as well as proactively identify areas for collaboration and integration inside and outside the HR organization
- Collaborates with key stakeholders in the development and implementation of strategic plans
- Partners with business leaders to create and implement comprehensive people plans aimed at creating a culture that drives accountability, problem-solving, innovation, continuous improvement and our EWA beliefs
- Consults with leaders and guides decision-making regarding matters pertaining to organizational design, workforce planning, talent, associate engagement, succession planning, performance management as well as diversity, equity and inclusion
- Collaborates with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Talent Management, Legal, Corporate Communications etc. to drive solutions in partnership with business leaders
- Facilitates the implementation of change management initiatives and partners with the business to effectively communicate strategies, milestones and expectations to leaders and associates
- Understands current staffing gaps as well as future needs and effectively partners with business leaders as well as other key stakeholders to address them
- Drives decision-making with a view towards the broader impact on the enterprise
- Coach, mentor and influence leaders to achieve their full potential and drive successful outcomes
