IT Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled IT Supervisor who specializes in macOS and iOS endpoint management and possesses a strong background in project management and vendor relations. As part of our expanded team, you will play a critical role in our agency’s technology requirements with your expertise and meticulous attention to detail.

This is a full-time, exempt position working a hybrid schedule at Montage’s McLean, VA, Rockville, MD offices, and home office.

In this role, the successful individual will lead the company's technology strategy, coordinate the agency’s IT resources, implement security measures, manage user access, maintain the agency’s network operations, and troubleshoot technology issues.

Our ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of both Mac and Windows computer hardware and software, network maintenance, and working understanding of cybersecurity compliance for federal government agencies. In addition to position-specific expertise and competencies, candidates must possess strong time management and analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Requirements and Skills

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, such as computer science, information technology, or computer engineering, or equivalent work experience
• Advanced knowledge of information technology
• Minimum of six (6) years of growing IT experience
• Subject matter expert supporting macOS, Windows, and all common office software and applications, such as Microsoft, Adobe and G-Suite products.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking in a fast-paced environment
• Great customer service and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Project management experience
• Knowledge of government IT regulations (NIST, CMMC Level 1 and 2, FISMA)
• Certifications in Microsoft, Apple and/or CompTIA
• Experience managing and/or collaborating with MSP

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise agency IT resources.
• Work with 3rd party to monitor security certificates and agency compliance of requirements.
• Build long term relationships with outside vendors for IT related products and services.
• Collaborate, direct, and manage MSP relationship
• Manage and coordinate all IT-related matters including data, wireless communications, mobile technology, telephony, security, and computer hardware and software.
• Trouble-shoots and solves problems related to hardware, software, and network problems.
• Monitors network utilization and performance, implements procedures for network optimization, reliability, and availability.
• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
• Provide technical support to all employees.
• Design, plan and execute training on the use of systems and networks.
• Install and configure hardware equipment and software programs.
• Oversee, track and measure system and network performance.
• Perform troubleshooting and execute needed repairs.
• Execute different maintenance activities when needed.
• Provide direct support to users across the organization including set up hardware or software, diagnose connectivity or data access problems, answer questions about hardware or software, and help users access shared drives and devices.
• Implement security measures.
• Anticipate and report the cost of replacing and/or updating computer items.
