Job Description

The Capital Area Division (CAD) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a Junior Technical Analyst providing support to the Office of the Secretary of Defense's Foreign Comparative Test program. As a Junior Analyst, you will assist and be mentored by mid- and senior-level program personnel in the analysis, collection, assessment, design, development, integration, monitoring of International Agreements of the OUSD Foreign Comparative Testing program. The candidate demonstrates mature judgement required to interface senior Government personnel.

This position requires a candidate with experience leading and performing a variety of tasks to support leaders in the Department of Defense including:

  • Creating work products appropriate for senior DoD leaders
  • Supporting the development of a portfolio of projects
  • Performing liaison functions
  • Briefing senior DoD leaders

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in a relevant discipline
  • Willingness to apply for, obtain, and maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance
  • 2 years or more experience demonstrated relevant skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Program or technology management experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Commercial/private sector or DoD experience coordinating with small businesses or non-traditional defense vendors
  • Knowledge of Defense research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E)
  • OUSD(R&E) experience

This position is contingent upon award of a contract position expected in July or August 2023 supporting the Department of Defense.
