What Will You Be Doing?

The Legal Counsel position will collaborate with and support Frontier's Sr. Legal Counsel and General Counsel in conducting a primarily transactional practice in support of all areas of Frontier's business, providing advice, guidance and representation on legal matters.

Essential Functions

  • Work with the Sr. Legal Counsel to efficiently review, revise, draft, negotiate and advise on sophisticated and complex contracts, including professional services, supply chain, repair and maintenance, computer services, SaaS and IT licenses, equipment purchases, airport consortiums, ground handling, leases, recruiting, marketing, e-commerce and promotions
  • Work closely with all levels of management and operational personnel to provide efficient and practical business solutions
  • Work with Legal Department personnel to maintain corporate best practices
  • Identify and analyze risks and deliver practical and efficient solutions to business and regulatory issues faced by the company, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations
  • Develop, maintain and update standard contract templates, terms of service, privacy policies and other forms, driving efficiencies in the contracting process
  • Oversee and advise management on compliance matters under SEC rules, NYSE/NASDAQ listing standards, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and other corporate governance rules and regulations
  • Stay abreast of governance-related emerging best practices and trends through self-study and participation in the Association of Corporation Counsel

Qualifications

  • JD with strong academic credentials required, T25 law school strongly preferred
  • Current State Bar of Colorado law license in good standing, or the ability to gain single-client licensure required
  • 5+ years of demonstrated corporate experience at a large law firm or in-house legal department required
  • Prior airline and real estate industry experience is desired

  • Must be a team player who is willing to pitch in where needed in a fast-paced, growing company environment
  • Excellent writing, research and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal communications and ability to collaborate with all levels of corporate personnel
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail. Demonstrate a history of effectively managing and prioritizing concurrent projects/tasks and consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Possess a high level of confidentiality in performance of duties
  • Task-oriented with the ability to anticipate and identify issues while developing and implementing solutions
  • Demonstrate the flexibility required to efficiently manage demanding workloads
  • Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude and demeanor
