Job Description

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Avani+ Fares employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

Marketing & Communications Support

  • Maintain complete knowledge of the following (to include but not limited to): All hotel features / services, hours of operation Hotel function space, entertainment options, menus, and floral decoration options

Scheduled daily group activities

  • Prepare promotional press releases on personalities among guests and associates of the Hotel and on noteworthy events in the Hotel
  • Coordinate the production of posters, publication of hotel’s newsletters/s and flyers for associates and the public, as well as other printed materials
  • Direct photographers commissioned to take pictures of VIPs, shows and events etc.
  • Monitor and update information and content of hotel’s website and postings on other digital platforms of the hotels
  • Handle the administrative requirements of the Marcom department
  • Work with other departments to coordinate guest’s lists, invitations for VIP receptions, luncheons, dinners etc.
  • Attend to client/media complaints, requests, and enquiries
  • Assist with the hosting of media, planned press conferences and other press activities
  • Maintain and update media list for sending to trade, group and consumer publications on a regular basis, press releases covering special events, promotions, etc.
  • Maintain and update digital photographs/slides library
  • Analyse and evaluate performance of marketing and promotion campaigns

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent international degree in Marketing and Advertising
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in overall Marketing, Digital and Social Media disciplines
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
  • Experience in similar role within luxury hospitality or with a relevant agency background.
  • Ability to manage wide range of tasks and responsibilities at the same time.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiar with the hotel operations available systems and all distribution channels.
  • Understanding of the dynamics of regional & local market, local competitors and events of the destination an advantage
  • Previous pre-opening experience will be an added advantage.
  • Must currently hold the role applying for.
  • Should have qualifications matching to position applying for.
  • A positive and energetic attitude.
  • Be able to work under pressure & flexible to work within a dynamic team environment.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Trackable references to support the role applied for.
