We're filling a big need for a writing assistant that's built ground-up for the needs of professional users and teams. Writing really is the last unstructured business process. Our roadmap is an exciting combination of deepening functionality for team leaders and extending functionality for end users β helping them be more effective and efficient in their writing.

Our customers include Twitter, Intuit, UiPath, Pinterest, and InVision. It's a great community of writers, content strategists, copyeditors, and editorial leaders. They are a true community and the content vanguard. We have a NRR of +130% and we're just getting started.
Our funnel is large and growing fast (+1M visitors/month, thousands of weekly trial starts). This is important, as you'll have nearly instant feedback on the features you'll be building or the growth experiments you'll be running.
We're backed by the best funds in the game and a world-class group of founders, operators, and angels. (Series A not yet announced π€« but we will share more when we meet.)

π About this role
Great writing, for everyone. Itβs our vision for Writer, and you'll be a core part of making the vision a reality. You'll be working closely with the founders and the engineering team to build, manage, and scale writing suggestions that +100K people rely on every day.
As an MLOps engineer, you will be part of the NLP engineering team, which works closely with the backend, devops, and product teams to deliver, maintain, and improve services which allow our users to write better, faster, and more consistently. You will be part of a team that frequently productionalizes research ideas from the academic NLP community.
π¦Έπ»ββοΈ Your responsibilities
Optimize existing NLP models for performance, scalability and reliability, with a focus on continuous improvement
Productionalize deep learning models while ensuring that business SLAs, including security requirements, are adhered to
Provide infrastructure and tooling to make building and training models faster, easier, and more repeatable
Build and improve data gathering and evaluation pipelines
βοΈ Is this you?
2+ years experience with end-to-end deep learning model development, deployment, and operation
Strong experience with Python
Strong experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow
Experience with AI hardware (GPUs, SSDs, InfiniBand, etc.)
Experience managing and troubleshooting distributed systems, and comfort with public cloud IaaS/PaaS (especially Kubernetes)
Experience with optimization tools like ONNX or TorchScript
Experience with automating and orchestrating ML pipelines as well as monitoring, optimizing, and maintaining ML solutions
And:
Proactive communication skills, both sync and async
