The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Director of Sales Engineering to lead, build and grow our global Sales Engineering teams. In this role you’ll be responsible for all aspects of building and managing a dispersed team of high-performing Sales Engineers & working in tandem with our Sales org to grow Immersive’s global footprint. You’ll promote and instill best practices, technical acumen, and value-based selling to support a seamless customer journey and goal achievement.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead our Global Sales Engineering teams by providing mentorship, coaching, and guidance to instill company values, technical acumen, best practices, and strong work ethic in our Sales Engineers

  • Drive a high performance team to deliver against assigned sales goals while prioritizing a high-quality experience for customers and colleagues

  • Function as a trusted advisor by engaging with prospects and customers during the full customer journey to support the team, region, and customers’ success

  • Hire, enable, and create development plans for Sales Engineers to ensure team members successfully onboard, execute, and progress in professional growth

  • Embrace and promote collaborative, high-energy, and “winning” culture

  • Prepare and deliver analysis of business trends and SE metrics, draw conclusions based on data, and make strategic directional recommendations

  • Maintain high level of communication with other executives, to share relevant metrics on achievement, as well as observations and recommendations on areas for improvement (process, tooling, communication)

  • Work closely in collaboration with business areas to support initiatives aligned with Immersive Labs’ OKRs to demonstrate successful key results

  • Relay customers technical requirements and needs to the product team for development

Who You Are 

  • 15+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, with at least 8-10 years managing and directing a Sales Engineering team, preferably in a high-growth Cybersecurity or SaaS company. 

  • Experience managing and leading a quota carrying team

  • Expertise in IT fundamentals (computer hardware/software, databases, networking, security, and software development) 

  • Authoritative knowledge of information security concepts, domains, compliances, and standards

  • Hands-on experience with Windows & Linux operating systems, security tools (IDS, firewalls, anti-malware, SIEM), public cloud environments, etc

  • Experience leading technical presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences across all levels

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully implement processes that drive performance and increase scalability 

  • Proven ability to present technical solutions effectively to diverse stakeholder groups and to engage effectively with senior executives of large enterprises on both technical and business topics 

  • Proven ability to inspire and grow teams to their full potential particularly in sales environments.
