 The Data Connections/Ecosystem team is responsible for the scalable realtime pipeline to get data in and out of Amplitude. We work as an early stage startup within Amplitude. We are responsible for building scalable realtime pipelines, developing and cultivating the partner ecosystem around Amplitude, so customers can create a unified picture about users, drive business impact by making the data available at the right places. Currently this platform processes and moves around 800 petabytes of data per month across 100+ integrations, our target is to grow this by 10x in a year through new product initiatives. 

 In this role, you will build the product workflows to create first-class experiences for customers. You will also build frameworks to enable Amplitude scale efficiently to Enterprise customers and Data teams. You’ll act as a leader finding solutions to difficult and complex problems as we grow. . In this role, you will also get to closely work with Product, Design and Customers to contribute to the strategy and roadmap for our core product and new features.

 Our product sits on top of many modern technologies, including Typescript, React + Redux, CSS Modules, GraphQL, Node, Python, Postgres, and MySQL, Real-Time Stream processing, Kafka, Redis/Elasticache, Amazon S3, DynamoDB, Kubernetes, Terraform. You will share your ideas with a group of similarly innovative and curious engineers. 

 As a Senior Product Engineer, you will: 

• Set the technical vision and build engineering-driven roadmaps for parts of the team
• Work with customers to identify needs and build features across the entire stack that meet these needs
• Work across our entire stack using Typescript, React + Redux, CSS Modules, GraphQL, Node, Python/Java, Postgres, and MySQL.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and design teams to iterate on our product.
• Participate in design and code reviews  
• Senior role: 
• Lead engineering discussions and mentor others on engineering best practices
• Mentor and contribute to the success of junior engineers
• Lead projects, from ideation and implementation, through to launch
•  

You'll be a great addition to the team if you have:

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or another technical field
• 4+ years of experience working in a Product Engineering role
• Strong foundation in programming, algorithms, and software application design
• Willingness to dive into new code bases, languages and frameworks
• Passionate about solving challenging problems and iterating quickly
• Previous experience with Typescript, React + Redux is a plus
• Previous experience in Java, distributed systems, data processing and analytics is a plus
• Technical leadership of an engineering team is a plus
