As a Software Sales Specialist you lead end-to-end sales engagements in your own territory and turn client challenges into concrete solutions by combining consultative selling with a solid understanding of IBM technology and the local business landscape.
You will engage with clients across industries identify opportunities and design tailored solutions using IBM’s cutting-edge technologies. You’ll collaborate with business partners technical experts and marketing teams to deliver compelling value propositions manage the sales cycle and ensure successful adoption and consumption of IBM software. Every interaction you lead will contribute to building long-term partnerships and driving measurable business outcomes.
Your primary responsibilities will include:

Managing your Sales Territory: Predicting deal closures and effectively communicating forecasts.

Opportunity Identification: Identifying up/cross-sell opportunities within your territory.

Collaborative Campaigns: Collaborating with IBM Marketing and Sales to develop new business campaigns.

Use-Case Development: Creating use-cases and proofs of concept in response to client RFIs.

Value Proposition Presentation: Compellingly presenting high-level value propositions.

Experience in Sales Cycle Management: Proven ability in lead generation prospecting and handling the sales cycle including negotiation and closing with a track record of meeting or exceeding quota.

Language Skills: Fluent in German French or Italian plus English in both writing and speaking.

Consultative (Tech-) Sales: Demonstrated experience in consultative sales explaining complex products to technical and nontechnical audiences.

CRM & Digital Sales Proficiency: Using digital sales tools (Salesforce or equivalent).

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with a focus on using data for decision-making and achieving positive business outcomes.
