Aircraft Engineering Services is currently recruiting for a Station Manager to based at London Stansted Airport, to work in co-operation with our client airline, Ryanair.
The Role
As the Engineering Station Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of our aircraft fleet. Station Manager
Duties and responsibilities of Station Manager:
- Manage a large team of Engineers and Mechanics.
- Ensuring appropriate spares and equipment are available at each Base.
- Negotiation and management of contracts with external suppliers/companies
- The successful candidate will be responsible for the managing of Staff, Rostering, Invoices, Routine Maintenance, AOG’s, Third Party Liaison, Base Housekeeping/Troubleshooting, Delay Reporting & New Base Set-Ups.
- Overseeing manpower planning and recruitment
- Performance management
- Investigating Maintenance Delays and implementing strategies to prevent recurrence.
- Budgeting
Experience and Qualifications of Station Manager:
- We are looking for a motivated self-starter with managerial experience who is ready, willing and able to manage small international teams in a highly task driven environment.
- Previous experience in Aviation or Engineering.
- Fast moving operational experience; engineering, production, processing etc.
- The ability to handle multiple priorities and to travel when required
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Full computer literacy with experience of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Internet Explorer).
- Fluent English
- Experienced in managing people, across various shifts and skill sets.
- Must hold right to work in the UK and a full UK driving licence.
