Job Description
The Cisco Meraki team is seeking a creative and driven Technical Marketing Engineer to support product security and compliance activities on the Cloud team. Meraki's Cloud team covers product areas such as user experience, APIs, developer ecosystem, security, compliance, and backend infrastructure. Within this role you'll work cross-collaboratively with Engineering, Security, Legal, Sales, and more!
This role will provide many opportunities to ensure that we continue to grow our happy customer base. You will work together with our Support team to analyze and resolve critical issues, while also being responsible for handling product security aspects vital to ensure we are #1 in the market!

Responsibilities:
- Drive the product vulnerability prioritization, incident management, and disclosure process for Meraki products (PSIRT)
- Work with customers to resolve issues, questions, and requests about Meraki’s security and compliance
- Represent Meraki’s security and compliance features, roadmap, and strategy to partners, customers, and executives
- Serve as an authority and key technical advisor for product security
- Work with multiple engineering teams to drive the implementation of privacy, security, and compliance capabilities
- Produce user documentation, standard methodology documents, disclosures, and deployment guides for internal and external use across the company
- Learn about the industry and competitors to build competitive material, battle cards, and benchmarks focused on security
- Build relationships with our Sales team and customers, and act as the primary technical point of contact for some of our most sophisticated deployments
What We're Looking For:
- Degree in CS, EE, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of work experience in software development, data center, and/or cloud technologies
- 3+ years of Technical Product Security related experience that includes threat modeling, security reviews, penetration tests, vulnerability management and reporting, and security incident response.
- 2+ years of customer-facing experience
- Extensive knowledge of SDL (Secure Development Lifecycle) and CI/CD standard processes.
- Experience with compliance/certification frameworks such as ISO27001, SOC2, FedRAMP from a Product Security standpoint.
- Extensive knowledge of network equipment security, cloud threat landscape, and industry best practices.
- Deep hands-on experience with networking equipment. Cisco or Meraki is preferred.
- You have a strong sense of customer empathy to care deeply about top customer problems
- The ability to easily communicate complicated concepts to non-technical people
- An ambitious, can-do attitude with an intuitive understanding of product quality
- You love solving technical problems in creative ways

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.   Â
