    Job Details
  • Medical Surgical position on the 6th Floor at St Lukes Meridian Medical Center
  • Primarily a Medical floor with some surgical overflow
  • Common diagnoses include respiratory, GI, and behavioral health patients
  • Must have 2 years of MedSurg experience and EPIC experience
  • RNs are required to read and interpret their own telemetry strips
    Job Requirements
  • BLS certification required
  • 2 years of MedSurg experience
  • EPIC experience required
    Schedule Information
  • 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • 5 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
  • Holiday shifts may be required
  • No block scheduling; travelers will be scheduled by the scheduler
    Unit Specific Information
  • Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:5, occasional 1:6
  • RT Equipment includes CPAP and BiPAP
  • Nurse aids/patient care techs available at a ratio of 1:8
    Additional Details
  • Charge Nurse on each shift; rarely takes patients
  • Floating between MedSurg 5, MedSurg 6, and a 9 bed overflow unit
  • 3 days of general orientation including EPIC training
  • Online modules to complete prior to start of assignment
  • 2 shifts on unit with a preceptor
