Job Description
As VP of Datadog Sales, you are responsible for driving the strategy and execution of RapDev's Datadog sales goals. You will lead the Sales team, both strategically and operationally, ensure alignment with the company's goals and objectives and contribute to the organization as a whole as an executive leader. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional leadership skills, a customer-first mindset and a deep understanding of revenue generation in partner-led ecosystems. You will have had a proven track record of driving revenue growth in a fast-paced services environment as well as leading sales teams.

- Sales - help to set and lead the achievement of 6 month & 12 month sales targets of $X
- Forecasting: Analyze sales and revenue data to develop accurate revenue forecasts in line with overall business objectives
- Partnerships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with Datadog leaders/partners to drive mutual customer success.
- Pipeline Management: Define target pipeline coverage ratios and win rates; coach team towards quarterly quota attainment
- Team - builds team through hiring and developing existing talent
- Org Design: Map out optimal org structure and hiring needs for next 6 - 12 months, driven by Datadog org structure and market dynamics
- Recruiting: Leverage professional network to source candidates; uplevel existing team's interviewing capabilities; balance speed to hire with raising the bar; effectively onboard new team members
- Compensation: Craft optimal compensation structure to motivate growth without eroding margins or internal collaboration
- Program - develop scalable, cross-functional processes to enable sales team to succeed
- Structure: Enhance sales processes, tools, and systems to drive efficiency, scalability, and performance of the sales team.
- Delivery: Strengthen feedback loop between sales and delivery teams to ensure delivery learnings are rapidly adopted into sales processes and offerings
Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and refine the marketing strategy and execution of campaigns.
