Job Description

Mantra Health is seeking a Head of People and Talent to lead our HQ and Clinical operations and recruiting functions. The Head of People and Talent is critical in shaping the company's culture, managing talent, and developing/executing human resources strategies to support the organization's goals and objectives. This role will involve collaborating closely with senior leadership, hiring/leading the People team, and implementing best practices in talent management, employee engagement, and compliance. Weโ€™re excited about candidates from all backgrounds who are passionate about our mission to make mental healthcare accessible and available to young adult students in the U.S.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic People Leadership and Business Partner : Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's mission and vision and work closely with the CEO and executive team to drive organizational success.
  • Talent Acquisition and Management: Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of top talent. Implement effective talent acquisition strategies, including sourcing, interviewing, and selection processes.
  • Establish Functional Operational Rigor, Metrics, and Reporting: Create key People metrics by which the People and Recruiting functions will be evaluated. Apply a data-driven approach to diagnosing organizational issues, recommending solutions, and evaluating the effectiveness of people programs.
  • Employee Engagement: Create and maintain a positive and inclusive workplace culture, fostering employee engagement, motivation, and retention.
  • Diversity and Inclusion Leadership: Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives across the organization. Develop and implement strategies to promote diversity at all company levels, including recruitment, leadership development, and retention.
  • Performance Management: Develop and manage performance evaluation processes and ensure continuous performance improvement and career development opportunities for employees.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Manage the design and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices. Implement and update workplace policies and procedures as needed.
  • Employee Relations: Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance processes.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs, design, and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
About You
  • 7+ years of progressive people and talent leadership experience, including at least 3+ years in a managerial role.
  • Passionate about leading the people and recruiting functions at a high-growth and dynamic organization, with early stage startup infrastructure and varying management experience levels.
  • Experience collaborating as HRBP to healthcare service providers in a startup environment start-up
  • Proficient in leveraging data driven talent insights to facilitate organizational decision making
  • Power user of people tools and systems and ability to leverage existing Mantra systems to gain more operational efficiency.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement people strategies that align with and support the achievement of organizational goals.
  • Must have ability to operate both strategically and as a โ€œroll up your sleevesโ€ expert People practitioner/project manager.
  • Ability to establish productive, credible relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus.

Mantra Health is a digital mental health clinic on a mission to improve access mental healthcare for young adults through clinical services, software, and design. Since our founding in 2018, we've built a comprehensive treatment service for young adults with mental health conditions. We've raised over $27 million to work with students at universities and colleges across the country such as MIT, Cornell, and the University of Minnesota. Our students see clinically differences in their mental health during treatment with us, with nearly two-thirds of students stating that Mantra's program helped them stay in school.

The salary range for this position is $150-160K + performance bonus
