THE ROLE: IT Analyst

Job Summary:

As a internal IT Analyst (Data Analyst), you will be responsible for designing and enhancements and new data centric business applications and/or information systems solutions through integration of technical and business requirements. Ensure the integrity, security, scalability and daily availability and overall data solution. You will be responsible for completing development assignments utilizing SQL Server Management Studio, SSRS, PowerBI, and QlikView along with assisting users with self-service reporting capabilities and ensure they are following development best practices.

Travel Requirements:

This is a remote role. No travel is required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Locate and extract data from a variety of sources for use in analysis, models, and reporting.• Perform data research and analysis to develop recommendations to solve business problems• Implement and maintain systems/processes for data analysis and data migration• Complete development assignments utilizing SQL Server Management Studio, QlikView, and Microsoft (MS) Power BI• Aggregate views of data sources into meaningful hierarchies.• Interacting with business users, IT, and application software developers• Assist users with self-service reporting capabilities and ensure they are following development best practices• Translate user requirements into report and solution enhancements• End-to-end creation of QlikView and MS Power BI applications from data modeling to visualization• Work with database and infrastructure team members to support, monitor, document, and troubleshoot data related issues.• Improve performance of reports while pulling data from internal applications and data warehouse• Assist and guide to effectively use Microsoft Power Platform - Power BI, Apps, Automate (or Flow) and Common Data Service (CDS) - with best practices and methodologies• Create and maintain reports through PowerBI and Excel• Use Odata in tandem with PowerQuery to connect PowerBI and D365 Finance and Operations entities• In conjunction with PivotTables, Slicers, Vlookups, and other Excel functions• Obtain, capture, and document business requirements and confirm client approval

Required Skills:

• Extensive experience in data mining, data warehousing and ETL processes• Experience working with D365 Finance and Operations• Experience in system database testing • Extensive experience with Power BI and ability to perform and provide data analysis• Excellent troubleshooting and analysis skills• Knowledge and experience working with D365 SDK to implement CDS usage• Candidate must possess strong oral and written communications skills with the ability to explain technical information in non-technical terms• Highly detailed, methodical, and ability to test your own work in a timely fashion• Ability to work on multiple challenging, global, fast paced, often independent projects• Excellent business acumen and able to understand data relationship

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent work experience and/or military experience• 5+ years of experience in data analysis and/or preparing database reports
