Job Summary:
As a Manufacturing Strategy & Analytics Associate, you will play a critical role in the growth and success of Ruggable. You will be a data-driven, strategic problem solver for the Corporate Manufacturing team within the Operations organization. More specifically, you will own framing strategic questions, data analyses, tool development, and data visualization creation. You will clearly communicate the strategic outcomes of your analyses to inform significant manufacturing decisions. Your scope includes all current and future manufacturing for Ruggable (e.g., new products, new locations). Your day-to-day includes working closely with Operations stakeholders to understand existing processes, solicit user and metric requirements to construct analyses to drive operational objectives aligned with our overall strategy. This is an ideal role for a strong analytical problem solver who loves to go from strategic challenge to data to insights to decision making.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage manufacturing strategy projects and ongoing initiatives including: framing strategic drivers and cost objectives, scoping work needed, performing the analysis yourself or working with other team members to execute the analysis, and recommending paths forward that are best for the business
- Build data-driven models, tools, and analyses, creating actionable insights to inform strategic decisions
- Potential examples include tools to support network capacity forecasting and ongoing production planning for a wide cross-functional audience
- Understand how overall operations / company initiatives translate into manufacturing thresholds to measure
- Communicate insights to senior Manufacturing / Operations leadership
- Perform one-off analyses as needed to support special projects and executive priorities
- Maintain a high standard of excellence for finished work products, from data integrity to aesthetics when appropriate
- Collaborate with Operations and cross-functional stakeholders to understand existing processes, solicit user requirements, and drive continuous improvement
What You’ll Need to Have:
Required:
- 2+ years of professional experience working in supply chain, logistics, operations, analytics, business intelligence, reporting, investment banking or consulting
- Strong ability to manage projects from start to finish with limited supervision
- Excellent proficiency with Google Sheets / Excel including advanced formulas and model construction
- Experience conducting quantitative analyses of large, unstructured data sets that drive to insights and ensure accuracy
- High attention to detail
- Strong relationship development skills with ability to quickly become a trusted thought partner across Operations teams
- A self-starter looking to join a fast paced team and a company that is growing rapidly
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Proficiency / experience in SQL, Python, Google Scripts or data visualization software
- Experience working at a high growth company
