Summary

This position is located in the Disability Rights Section (DRS). As a Program Analyst, you will be charged with a full range of policy and case analysis work related to the Section's enforcement of the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. ยง 12101.

Specialized Experience Requirements

To qualify at the GS-14 grade level, candidates must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, public or other private sectors that is directly related to the position as listed above and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following:
  • Prepares presentations, briefing materials, or other communications material to effectively demonstrate disability-related policy analyses and recommendations to enable leadership decision making; AND
  • Independently, and at the direction of management, uses a variety of public datasets that include disability-related variables (e.g., census data, Medicaid data) to support evaluations of healthcare or social program implementation; AND
  • Dissects issues and forecasts outcomes to provide evidence-based recommendations on the potential impacts of policy initiatives.

Specialized experience is defined as experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The Division's telework policy requires employees to be in the office at least four (4) days per pay period, or as required by the Division's policy.
