This position will support a Department of Energy office. The mission of this office is to provide centralized infrastructure planning processes; real estate services; program management for operations of facilities, maintenance, recapitalization, disposition, and line-item construction and perform project and contract management of line-item construction and major items of equipment.
This position is remote, with the expectation that candidates can work during Eastern Time Zone office hours. Residency in the United States is a mandatory requirement.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of project schedules under immediate supervision.
• Support the project delivery team by the collection and input of monthly cost and schedule progress, assist in analyzing project variances; and manage and report this information to appropriate levels in standard formats.

• Assist the Project Controls Specialist with activities concerning budget management, cost control, schedule control and contract control.
• Prepare reports for Government use.

• Ensures compliance with internal procedures and contractual specifications such as federal/government regulations.
• Evaluates and updates data regarding schedule dates, physical percent complete, resource requirements, subcontractor commitments and project accruals.
• Reviews schedule progress and productivity of resources.
• Monitors progress of project deliverables and actual expenditures versus forecasts.
• Evaluates and raises project early warning signals to project manager or project lead.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Government, or related field.
• 3+ years of project controls work experience required.
• Advanced level understanding of Microsoft office suite.
• DoD or DOE experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a federal background check and drug screen.
• Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
• This position is remote, with the expectation that candidates can work during Eastern Time Zone office hours. Residency in the United States is a mandatory requirement.
• Ability to travel occasionally to Washington, DC is required.
