Qlik Sense BI Application Developer

Position Description:

CGI is looking for a Qlik Sense BI Application Developer in Houston, Texas.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

FUTURE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop Qlik Sense BI (Business Intelligence) visualizations and dashboards.
• Query, analyze and transform complex data sets from multiple sources to optimize dashboard flexibility and performance within Qlik
• Qlik QMC experience with scheduler, triggers, and job monitoring. Ensure all Qlik development is in line with best practices, principals, and standards.
• Work with the business to understand the current reports/dashboards and decide what is must have, nice to have, drop off.
• Create pixel-perfect reports, Excel reports, Word reports, PowerPoint reports using the NPrinting designer Skills
• Perform BI components and wrangling data New data being brought on Working with C level executives
• Understands visualizations in qlik sense - pros and cons, when to deploy and when to supplement Certifications nice to have - developer or architect
• Need someone that is familiar with what Qlik Sense can do (ex: if converting from View to Sense, not all features will be avail).

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Min of 5 years Needs someone with Front end experience in qlik sense Industry knowledge is preferred based on the project - needs to hit the ground running-
• Oil & Gas back ground would be a plus
• Experience and proficiency in the dashboard/report development process including requirement gathering, data analysis, and data validation.
• Knowledge of relational database and data warehousing concepts, principles, and best practices.
• Understanding of Qlik data modeling to utilize Qlik's associative engine using best practices of dimensional & relational concepts like star- schema models, snowflake schema models, fact and dimension tables
• Strong ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously while effectively prioritizing work and adjusting to changing priorities
• Strong written and verbal skills are needed to communicate effectively with a broad range of employees throughout the organization.
• Prior experience working with various Qlik Sense Extensions. Experience working with Finance compliance and risk management preferred.
• Education: BS Degree or Equivalent
• Qlik Sense Business Analyst Certification or Qlik Sense Data Architect Certification Preferred.
