The Senior Application Engineer is responsible for directing, organizing, modifying, and supporting assigned the online deposit account opening for consumer retail or and commercial small business banking platform - NCR Terafinas. Plans solutions; organizes efforts; designs, modifies and implements reports, dashboards, workflows and other items as needed. Works with other technology members and directly with end-users to coach and teach how to best utilize systems. Supports other technology initiatives as needed.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

  • Day to day activity is to manage and maintain activities related to the NCR Terafina platform. This individual will assess current state, as well as suggest and implement improvements in process and configuration.
  • Perform configuration activities inside the Terafina platform
  • Manage a backlog of issues and enhancements for the Terafina team

• Leads platform projects by developing plans, scheduled, recommending solutions, and engaging bank resources to implement successful solutions.

• Interacts with bank executives and high-level management as needed

• Mentors other engineers and educates technology team members on platforms

• Produces team metrics and reports as needed for technology management

• Manage and maintain the configuration and implementation of assigned systems.

• Support the administrative needs and maintain integrity of assigned systems.

• Create, implement, and maintain dashboards, workflows, system setup, and access as needed.

• Enhance operational efficiency by reviewing processes.

• Ensure design of system allows all components to work properly together.

• Troubleshoot problems reported by users and make recommendations for future upgrades.

• Assist with maintaining, installing, and deploying system component upgrades as needed.

• Assist IT with maintaining system security and availability to specific users.

• Evaluate and modify system performance as well as analyze and isolate issues.

• Identify end user needs and areas of opportunity for efficiencies and optimization.

• Evaluate and implement new technology and system improvements as needed.

• Create and monitor support cases with vendors supporting lines of business.

• Partner appropriately with other IT departments to address any needs.

• Train staff as necessary on upgrades and new software/hardware.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

  • Individual must have extensive knowledge of and experience with an online account opening platform, preferably NCR Terafina.

• Individual must be professional and have strong verbal communication skill.

• Individual must be multi-task orientated and have strong problem-solving skills.

Industry and Work Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience with 2+ with an online account opening platform

• Microsoft designation

Academic:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field preferred.
