The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for overseeing code releases and ensuring smooth deployment and operation of software. Works closely with development and operations teams to automate and streamline processes, as well as troubleshoot any issues that may arise. Supports other technology initiatives as needed. Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

• Make technology teams more efficient by providing modern development tools and automation.

• Build and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Partner with security, risk, and resiliency teams to implement automated governance and recovery.

• Deploy software upgrades and feature enhancements to a hybrid cloud environment.

• Utilize modern programming languages to orchestrate common tasks.

• Maintain and improve monitoring and log analytics procedures for critical applications.

• Continuously improve processes with craftmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability.

• Create a positive developer experience for the DevOps toolkit by gathering feedback from technology teams and writing easy-to-read documentation.

• Participate in on-call support rotation as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

• High proficiency in DevOps tools, including CI/CD and containers.

• Moderate proficiency in cloud platforms, such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.

• Moderate proficiency in systems administration (Windows and Linux Server).

• High proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash.

• Moderate proficiency in using common protocols, such as TCP/IP, SAML, HTTPS, and SFTP.

• Moderate proficiency in using version control systems, such as Git.

• Intermediate working knowledge of Agile practices, specifically backlog grooming, theory of constraints, and release planning.

• Basic proficiency in SQL.

• Basic proficiency using REST APIs.

• Basic understanding of incident and change management.

Industry and Work Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of software engineering, information security, or systems administration experience required.

• Minimum 3 year of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service required.

• Previous financial services industry or FinTech experience preferred.

Academic:

• Associate degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field required.

• Cloud platform certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) preferred.
