CGI is hiring a Sr. Hadoop Developer to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate should be able to work independently and manage the work on your own and have at least 6+ years of experience on Hadoop development using SPARK, SCALA & JAVA having hands on experience on troubleshooting and deployment activities.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Work Hands on in designing and implementing solutions in big data frameworks like Hadoop/Hive/Spark/Impala• Utilize experience with databases and NoSQL Databases like Mongo / HBase• Utilize expertise in SQL, Python & Java, Shell Scripting • Kafka Streaming and serialization mechanisms like AVRO/JSON/PARQUET• Work with Kafka developers across the team to build spark jobs • Will frequently move data in & out of Hadoop systems• Collaborate with external teams to complete the user stories• Lay out the dependencies and provide estimates based on high level designs/requirements• Actively uses an understanding of AGILE and it's methodologies• Creates technical designs for new systems, and/or modifications to existing systems.• Translates detailed requirements into functional system designs. • Should be able to collaborate with business analysts/architects to work on the stories based on work in progress design documents.• Work closely with internal and external design, business, and technical counterparts
• Research and recommend functional libraries to expedite development
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• At least 6+ years of experience in IT industry with an expertise in Hadoop development using SCALA, SPARK & JAVA• 6+years of experience in Hadoop/Other big data frameworks• 3+ years of experience on Kafka• 4+ experience on SQL • 2+ experience on NoSQL Databases• 3+ years of experience on Kafka• Experience using Agile methodologies for developing solutions• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadline and also establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, project team members, supervisors, and employees from other departments. • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work closely with diverse personality types and understand technical issues.

Est. Salary Range (Colorado Only): $100,000-$125,000*
