We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you'll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work remote.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable software solutions using AWS technologies
• Experience transforming monolithic applications into microservices-based architectures and implement DevOps practices to support CI/CD pipelines
• Continuously improve the software development process and contribute to best practices for software development within the organization
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across multiple layers of the software stack
• Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software
• Mentor junior software engineers on best practices and techniques for software development
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and performance
• Keep up to date with emerging trends and technologies in software engineering and AWS cloud services

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on Java and AWS technologies
• Experience in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant cloud-based solutions on AWS
• Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS, EKS, MSK (or equivalent e.g., Confluent, RedPanda)
• Experience in selection and designing of relational and non-relational databases (Mongo, Cassandra)
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Expertise in agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipeline
• Proven experience in software architecture and design patterns
• Strong understanding of microservices-based architecture and experience in transforming monolithic applications to microservices-based architecture
• Familiarity with configuration management and automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible
• Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Background with collaborating with geographically distributed teams
