This contract is working with the Department of Veterans Affairs and focuses on modernizing and improving the GI Bill claims processing system, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of education claims processing for veterans, service members, and their dependents.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will develop, execute, and analyze automated tests. This role requires a software engineering background, excellent programming skills in a modern object-oriented programming language, hands-on experience with common back end and front-end test automation frameworks, and integrating these into the continuous deployment pipeline.

The SDET will:

  • Develop, maintain, execute, and analyze automated tests using a custom Java / Selenium / Rest Assured automation framework based on business requirements and user stories.
  • Work with developers to identify and architect test plans, execute tests, document results, and triage defects.
  • Ensure test environments are set up accurately prior to test execution.
  • Design E2E test data scenarios to support automation development.
  • Document and report test execution results.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years' experience of test case automation.
  • Experience with Java, Selenium, and JIRA.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
