Sr. Director, Software Engineering (Hybrid-Flexible Options)

Broadridge is hiring! We're seeking a Senior Director, Software Engineering to join our stellar team. In this role, you will specialize in .NET and AWS technologies supporting .NET based distributed applications for ICS (Investor Communication Solutions) Finance organization.

We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you'll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work remotely.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the product/business organization to review product roadmaps, analyze requirements, assuring business benefit, and supporting the business process.
• Lead an Agile development team, while continuing to improve the Agile mindset and culture.
• Develop, test, and troubleshoot code for existing and/or new applications.
• Responsible for the analysis of project requirements and the development of technical specifications.
• Perform unit and system testing of applications/solutions.
• Work with Technology, Finance, and QE partners to ensure that all identified defects/issues are resolved in a timely manner
• Responsible for ensuring that high-quality, defect-free software is delivered across all projects
• Has experience with all phases of application programming.
• Demonstrates knowledge in the software implementation lifecycle and specific programming languages.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; Master's Degree strongly preferred
• 15+ years of experience within a programming and application system environment (.NET, HTML, JavaScript, REST APIs, UI frameworks like Angular or React, AWS, Relational DBs - SQL Server/DB2)
• 10+ years in a leadership role including experience driving a team while focusing on continuous improvement initiatives, and setting priorities and plans to meet business goals and objectives
• Demonstrable experience building in leading geographically distributed teams to design, develop, implement and support cutting-edge technology solutions
• Experience with an API-driven architecture, especially on AWS using native, serverless technologies
• Strong interest, aptitude, and attention to detail with Enterprise Portfolio/Resource Management
• Willingness to take ownership of Resource Planning, P&L (tracking and reconciling Forecasted/Actual hours), Project Status Tracking
• Ownership of tracking and collaborating with required stakeholders to remediate Security Vulnerabilities in
• Excellent communication skills to proactively update senior Engineering and Finance leaders on tactical day-to-day as well as strategic threads
• Experience in continually building and growing a high-performing team of software engineers
• Full SDLC development methodologies including SCRUM/Agile and Waterfall
