The education and engagement team at Indiana Farm Bureau focuses on educating students and the general public about agriculture, finding engagement opportunities through Farm Bureau, and offering unique opportunities in networking, leadership development, hands-on experience, and more to create an environment for personal and professional growth.

What we are looking for:
This is a non-exempt, temporary position with an hourly wage of $15.00 USD less applicable withholding and will be paid on a bi-weekly basis.
Any college student in their sophomore through senior year is encouraged to apply.

What to expect:
- Working with education and engagement activities and programming.
- Enhancing student and consumer understanding of modern agriculture.
- Researching elementary agriculture accurate books and materials to promote National Read a Book Day.
- Developing activity plans for agriculture literacy week.
- Creating content to enhance specific Indiana agriculture lessons and/or kits.
- Lesson planning and delivery to students at theFelege Hiywot Center.
- Volunteering with INFB Staff during the Indiana State Fair, Taste From Indiana Farms, and the Young Farmers & Ag Professionals planning meeting.
What we are looking for:
- Strong written, communication, and organizational skills.
- Applicants pursuing an agricultural education or agricultural communications degree.
- Understanding and experience in preparing educational lessons and activities for middle and high school students.
- Applicants with self-motivation, creativity, detail-oriented habits, and awareness of Indiana academic standards.
- Confidence in establishing clearly defined goals and objectives for projects.
- An agricultural background.
