As Production Supervisor, you will provide leadership, direction, training, and administration of your team in order to improve quality, safety, productivity, and overall performance. This role supports ABB's NEMA Motors division located in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Production Manager

Your responsibilities

• Foster a culture where safety is first priority and procedures and policies are followed
• Be representative of management that portrays a professional attitude and supports the Baldor goals and objectives
• Provide leadership, direction, training and administration of anyone assigned to their department
• Be responsible for the quality, production, safety, housekeeping, and problem solving on a daily basis for your assigned areas. Will, also, be responsible for improving quality, safety, productivity, and overall performance
• Operate in compliance with OSHA(Occupation Safety and Health Administration) and MSDS(Material safety data sheet) standards
• Maintain high expectations for all employees and be consistent in all employee relation matters while not accepting poor performance in any area
• Work with all other departments, supervisors, and managers to solve problems and accomplish plant goals
• Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling, and discipline direct reports
• Enforce general handbook policies fairly and consistently
• Be flexible in work hours

Your background

• High School Diploma or GED AND 3 years' manufacturing experience, OR Associates degree AND 1 years' manufacturing experience, OR Bachelor's Degree
• Ability to supervise employees while achieving all daily production goals
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision
• Understand manufacturing concepts, processes and Flex Flow and Lean concepts
• Must be self motivated, detail oriented, with a strong desire to learn new things
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks, changing priorities and perform well under pressure
• Must be willing to attend leadership and continuing education classes
