.NET Developer

Position Type: 100% Remote
Contract Length: 5 months
Position Overview:
This role focuses on the backlog of maintenance requests, including bug fixes and feature enhancements, while contributing to the readiness for migration to the Azure cloud. The ideal candidate is proficient in .NET technologies, API integrations, and database management, with additional experience in modern front-end tools and frameworks.
Duties:

• Resolve system bugs and implement requested enhancements to ensure it remains functional and efficient.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide technical solutions to maintain system performance and reliability.
• Develop, test, and deploy new features in .NET MVC and Blazor.
• Integrate APIs to enhance application functionality and connectivity.
• Maintain clean and efficient code using best practices, including the Repository Pattern.
• Work with SQL Server to write and optimize queries, stored procedures, and views.
• Ensure data integrity and performance within the application.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure client is aligned with Azure cloud requirements.
• Assist in identifying and mitigating risks associated with migrating on-prem systems to Azure.
• Work within an Agile framework, utilizing Azure DevOps for managing work items, code repositories, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure successful delivery.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 3–5 years of experience in .NET MVC development, including maintaining and enhancing enterprise-level web applications.
• Proficiency in .NET 6/8, C#, ASP.NET MVC, and Blazor.
• Experience with Web API Integration and RESTful API development.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including query optimization and database performance tuning.
• Expertise in Entity Framework and implementing the Repository Pattern.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for work item tracking, version control (repos), and pipeline management.
• Familiarity with Datatables.js for interactive grid components.
• Knowledge of Bootstrap for responsive UI development.
• Experience using Font Awesome for implementing scalable vector icons.
