May be requires to report for duty during weather conditions pertaining to ice and snowstorms, high winds, and hurricanes. May be subject to call back for work during off-duty hours when an emergency arises to include weekends and holidays. Works on a rotating seven-day-a-week, three-shifts-per-day plan. Subject to high temperature, constant noise, rotating machinery, soot, dirt, grease, chemicals, oil, and fumes in the work area Exposed to fumes from gas and oil, and the danger of cuts, bruises, and broken bones while working around boilers and other machinery. Employee will be required to wear ear protection, hard hat, steel-toe-shoes, and other safety equipment which may be hot and uncomfortable. Frequently will carry parts and chemical supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.
