Summary This position is located at USAG Italy - MWR, Arena Bowling Center, Vicenza, Italy. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Duties Operates a small full-service coffee shop, preparing and serving the full range of coffee beverages and other specialty non-alcoholic drinks. Operates coffee shop machinery to include commercial espresso machine, etc. Records sales, takes customer payments for goods by operating a cash register, balances cash drawer at the end of the day. Skill in preparing coffee and other specialty beverages by utilizing machinery such as a commercial espresso machine. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Willing and able to work rotating shifts to include nights, weekends and MWR Special Events. Incumbent must possess Mission Soggiorno. Work is primarily indoors. Exposed to burns from hot steams and liquids. Could be exposed to cuts. Must possess the physical ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds. Stands for prolonged periods. Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory. Skill in mixing and serving the full range of coffee beverages and other specialty non-alcoholic drinks. Experience utilizing a commercial espresso machine. Allowances and Differentials This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week - whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
