Summary
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Duties
You will manage the procurement, assignment, and protection of radio frequencies.
You will prepare the engineering data for frequency, telecommunication and other Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (CSISR) matters.
You will analyze technical data of communication systems based upon knowledge of radio equipment and radio propagation.
You will initiate and direct actions at the National or International level to eliminate conflicts in frequency assignments which arise as a result of the heavily congested radio frequency spectrum.
You will perform supervisory functions for one GS-12 employee, and two military personnel.
You will serve as senior Telecommunications Specialist for analyzing technical data of communication systems based upon knowledge of radio equipment and radio propagation.
You will serve as the technical authority, responsible for communicating the frequency assignment process to all levels of command, orally and in writing.
You will serve as a senior Telecommunications Project Manager, and exercise centralized accountability and oversight of all project resources.
You will participate in meetings and briefings to investigate problems, coordinate projects, and keep abreast of changes in operations, requirements, or technological advances.

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the 12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Completed Interservice Radio Frequency Management School (IRFMS) or the Army equivalent Electromagnetic Spectrum Managers Course.
Expertise in Radio Frequency Management at Agency, National and Internation level.
Strong background in International treaties, National agreements and arrangements pertaining to frequency protection and spectrum efficiency.

Specialized Experience (for positions above GS-5): Experience in evaluating, analyzing, developing, managing, or improving communications systems, procedures, and requirements that demonstrated knowledge of current developments and trends in communications concepts and technology.
