Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. Position is a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area (411) TECH SUPPORT SPEC proficiency level (INTERMEDIATE) within 12 months of appointment. You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing. Position has been designated an alternate DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) role of (461) SYSTEMS SECURITY ANALYST proficiency level (INTERMEDIATE) as a condition of employment, within 12 months of appointment. Qualifications In addition to the basic requirements below, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management. OR Successful completion of 3 full years (54 hours) of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution. NOTE: The education listed above must be a degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management, or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or network Additional information This announcement uses the Defense Industrial Base, Major Range and Test Facilities direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. A 40-hour work week is typical. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. The employee may be required to work overtime. The employee may be recalled to duty after working hours. Physical Demands Work is primarily sedentary, although there may be some carrying of books, printouts, manuals, files and equipment. Work Environment Work is performed in a typical office setting. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
