Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Duties You will serve as the Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) managing team activities, progress, and scheduling to ensure successful project performance. You will coordinate and liaise with internal and external customers across a broad spectrum of government employees, military members, consultants, contractors, other government organizations, or private industry. You will provide comprehensive technical quality surveillance and assessment for TRIDENT Strategic Weapons Systems (SWS) Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program at Cape Canaveral. You will develop and implement quality control/assessment programs, monitor processes, collect/analyze data, and ensure integrity of design, testing, and documentation for flight hardware, support equipment, missile operations, and reentry systems. You will lead and support technical audits and evaluations (e.g., FTPE, internal audits), providing documentation, objective quality evidence, and direct interface with audit teams. You will create and update Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASPs), review contractor T9001C and Program Plan Matrix documents, and provide subject matter expertise, policy guidance, and recommendations on all QA matters. You will ensure safety, quality, reliability, maintainability, and configuration management requirements for Strategic Weapons Systems (SWS) equipment. You will oversee contractor compliance through surveillance, process monitoring, audits, and quality assessments of design, modifications, assembly, and testing. You will investigate discrepancies, perform trend analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent defects. You will lead acceptance (DD250) of missiles, subsystems, support equipment, and modification kits; prepare reports to measure QA program effectiveness. You will supervise and mentor Quality Assurance Specialists; manage branch activities including manpower planning, training, and workload oversight. Requirements Conditions of employment Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101. Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (GS-13 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating, implementing, and integrating quality assurance program functions and processes for weapons systems program effectiveness. . Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement. Additional information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
