Kyowa Kirin is a fast growing global specialty pharmaceutical company that applies state-of-the-art biotechnologies to discover and deliver novel medicines in four areas of unmet need: oncology, nephrology, immunology and CNS/movement disorders. The North America organization includes two offices (in New Jersey and California) that focus on drug discovery, product development, and commercialization. Together, we work as a close-knit team to understand clinical needs and advance innovations that can have a profound impact on patient lives.
We are currently seeking a student Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will work closely with the Supply Chain Department, focused on Logistics. This position is a paid, temporary internship eligible to sophomores, juniors or seniors within a commutable distance of Princeton, NJ. This role is a hybrid role with some in-office time preferred. (will change based on job function)
Key Responsibilities:
Our Supply Chain Logistics Intern works on meaningful activities that provide opportunities for personal and professional development, while contributing to Kyowa Kirin NA’s distribution strategy through implementing industry best practices, driving competitively advantaged supply of materials and services, and optimizing distribution networks. Responsibilities may include:
- Develop Enhanced Vendor Performance Reporting employing Data Analytics
- Key Performance Indicator Process for On-Time-In Full (OTIF) Metric
- Temperature Excursion Trending
- Identify Logistics Best Practices Documentation Voids Â
- Gap Analysis
- Best Practice/Work Instruction Creation Â
- Conduct Freight Cost Analysis
- Outbound Courier Freight Charge by Partner by Lane by Provider
- Provide Visibility into the Cost to Deliver to Customer
Qualifications/Requirements:
- This position requires candidates to be a rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior interested in a career in Supply Chain Management
- Candidates are required to live within a commutable distance of Princeton, NJ
- Interns are required to be able to work from May 28th to August 9th
- This position requires a minimum GPA of 3.0
- The ability to work a hybrid schedule is required
- This position requires that candidates be able to work in the United States on a permanent and on-going basis without sponsorship
