Summary
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Duties
You will implement prevention programs and related program management activities for the installation and tenant commands.
You will meet and consult with various command leadership on program evaluation and performance assessment activities or address critical prevention program implementation elements.
You will deliver primary prevention training and education at various locations on the installation as needed, to build and sustain prevention capacity and capability.
You will develop and implement strategies to maintain program visibility and increase awareness at all levels to foster workforce readiness and wellness.

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driverβs license.
This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Implementing prevention programs and related program management activities for the installation and tenant commands to promote healthy climates. 2)Consulting with and advising relevant stakeholders on the installation (e.g., Resilience, Equal Opportunity, Sexual Assault Prevention and Response, Family Advocacy, Suicide Prevention, medical personnel, and Veterans Service Organizations/Military Service Organizations, etc.) to obtain partner insights, interpret protective and risk data, and implement and execute primary prevention policies, programs, processes, and practices. 3)Making recommendations to streamline the development of and delivery of primary prevention, and include occupational health, social and organizational psychology, public health, and/or other behavioral and social science perspectives in prevention planning. Education
Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess:
Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
OR
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
OR
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Travel is dependent upon position description and availability of funding.

For example: A person who holds both Italian and U.S. citizenship may not be employed in the U.S. Civilian Component in Italy; however, that person is not prohibited by the NATO Status of Forces Agreement from employment in the U.S. civilian Component in another NATO host nation of which (s)he does not hold citizenship.
Additional information
The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
Several vacancies may be filled.
A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
Tour of duty will be 36 Months.
