Summary This position is located at Kaiserslautern Intramural Sports. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Duties Annually administers the conduct of the installations sports, fitness and aquatics programs. Works closely with sports professionals within the Army and other Services, as well as volunteers and contractors Responsible for the daily operation of all fitness facilities, outdoor sports facilities and fields, and aquatic facilities. Responsible for organizing, scheduling, and publicizing activities and programs, to include special events based upon customer interest, command directives and available resources. Develops and executes both an APF and NAF budget. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Must be willing and able to work evenings, weekends and special events. Must be able to obtain and maintain a USAREUR Driver's license. Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Experience that demonstrated the ability to apply the principles of sports, fitness and aquatics. Experience in planning and administering sports, fitness and aquatics program. Experience in a sports program that included a variety of individual and team sports. This experience may have been gained managing or administering a sports program in a community, industrial activity, school or college; or planning, teaching, or evaluating a physical education curriculum for a secondary or higher academic level. Required experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade. Ability to make decisions IAW Army and DOD policies. Ability to generate and maintain effective relationships with outside agencies. Strong communication skills required. Ability to write various staff office documents. Knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, etc., required. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess at least 2 years' Family and MWR experience. Possess at least 1 year of supervisory experience. Possess at least 1 year of budgeting and procurement experience (i.e., Billing Official, Government Purchase Card holder, etc.) Applicant meeting the Best Qualifying Criteria will be referred to the hiring manager. This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Foreign overseas allowances, post allowance, and differentials will be paid, contingent upon eligibility. These allowances may include Living Quarters Allowance (LQA), Temporary Quarters Subsistence Allowance (TQSA) and requires a Transportation Agreement in accordance (IAW) the provisions of the Department of States Standardized Regulations (DSSR).
