DescriptionSummary: The Registered Nurse Clinical Educator II (RNCE) will assess, plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate the clinical opportunities and strategies for improving delivery of diabetic patient care and staff education regarding such. The RNCE will act as a liaison with all multi disciplinary departments and services concerning diabetes education. The RNCE will develop and provide diabetes education for patients and their families on an inpatient and outpatient basis as directed.  The CHRISTUS Children’s Hospital, established in 1959, was the first children’s hospital in South-Central Texas. Requirements: Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program requiredBSN preferred Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Experience: Minimum of three years clinical RN experience requiredMinimum of three years experience managing the care of patients with both Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes Familiarity with insulin pumps preferred Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: Current Texas RN license requiredCertified Diabetic Educator (CDE) preferred.
