Summary

Duties
You will set performance standards and evaluate performance for REDCOM and subordinate command prevention civilian employees.
You will be responsible for oversight of all aspects of the Integrated Primary Prevention Program and serve as advisor and technical prevention expert to REDCOM and subordinate commands.
You will advise REDCOM and subordinate leaders on prevention programs, resources, and activities and is the recognized authority in overseeing the strategic direction of prevention efforts.
You will identify efficiencies in the development and delivery of primary prevention, and ensure that occupational health, social and organizational psychology, public health, and/or other behavioral and social science perspectives are considered.

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driverβs license.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
*Experience utilizing social sciences as related to integrated prevention programs to evaluate, consult, and advise in a variety of settings toward the prevention of destructive/problematic behaviors to include suicide, sexual harassment/ assault, substance misuse, family/interpersonal/workplace violence.
*Experience demonstrating the ability to appropriately identify, implement, and evaluate prevention methodologies.
*Experience identifying needs, trends, and performance measures to evaluate program effectiveness and provide recommendations for process improvements.
*Experience providing technical assistance and prevention training/education to a wide variety of audiences.

Education
Basic Requirements:
Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
OR
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
OR
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
