**Job Title: *2ND SHIFT* CNC Lathe Operator - Aerospace Industry**
**Reports to:** Production Supervisor
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator to join our aerospace manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining, with specific experience in operating lathe machines for precision aerospace components. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict industry standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce high-precision aerospace components according to engineering specifications and technical drawings.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and CAD models to determine machining requirements and tool selection.
- Monitor machine operations, adjusting parameters as necessary to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC lathes to minimize downtime and ensure consistent production output.
- Perform quality control inspections using precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all safety protocols and industry regulations.
- Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work completed, including time tracking and quality reports.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in CNC machining or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming, setup, and operation.
- Experience with various materials used in aerospace manufacturing, including aluminum, titanium, and composites.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and inspection techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
