MIG Welder Job Description Overview We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques and a strong understanding of fabrication processes. This role involves working on construction sites and in manufacturing environments, where precision and attention to detail are paramount. The MIG Welder will be responsible for producing high-quality welds while adhering to safety standards and project specifications. Duties • Perform MIG welding on various materials including sheet metal and ductwork. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for fabrication tasks. • Conduct welding operations using techniques such as FCAW, TIG welding, stick welding, and plasma cutting. • Ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards during all welding processes. • Operate cranes and forklifts safely for material handling and positioning. • Execute pipe threading and rigging tasks as needed. • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety protocols. • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Skills • Proficient in MIG welding techniques with a strong understanding of fabrication processes. • Experience with construction site operations and manufacturing environments. • Familiarity with mechanical knowledge including the use of calipers, micrometers, and basic math for measurements. • Ability to operate various machinery such as press brake machines and perform assembly tasks. • Knowledge of soldering techniques and machining processes is a plus. • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work consistently. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
